What is the difference between palliative care and a hospice or are they the same thing different stages? - hospice and palliative care
If you have an incurable disease, in the hope of less than 2 years of life, you are for palliative care. Hospice is an organization that specializes in the care of dying people. These provide funding for palliative care. Palliative care is designed to address, not the disease but the symptoms ... Pain, anxiety, shortness of breath. For example, a hospice nurse will give morphine for pain. Hope this helps.
